I'm experiencing the following issue where Windows 7(x86) is
reporting that the "dv_serial.exe has stopped working" after a period of
working just fine for days.
In
order to correct the problem, I find that I have to uninstall the com
port (usually com3) in Device Manager and "Scan for Hardware Changes"
I can then reload the DV4mini control panel, and it works once again for an indeterminate period of time.

I tired the firmware update on mine then all it does is scanning for usb stick and doesn't find it idk what to do now or if i killed it tried two windows machines and a pi with same results

Tried on a 32bit W7: sometimes disconnected with serial.exe error (stopped)
Same here. There has to be a solution somewhere out there.
ReplyDeleteMine has stopped working today. Driver is latest 64 bit (Win10) and firmware is latest. OS sees device but application just cannot find it.
